Florida Georgia Line is stepping up to the plate and taking care of their own by making generous money donations to staff members at their bar and restaurant in Nashville during the world-wide coronavirus crisis.

The duo was inspired by fellow country star Dierks Bentlley after he gave his employees $1000 each while his establishments close due to the pandemic.

‘We wanted to do a quick shout-out to Dierks Bentley,’ Tyler Hubbard began in the video announcement he and bandmate Brian Kelley posted on Instagram Thursday.

‘Quite honestly you inspired us man, and we are going to follow suit.’

Hubbard added, ‘We’re going to take your lead and we’re going to do the same thing: we’re going to give a $1000 to all of our FGL House employees. We hope this helps out in a time of need.’

The FGL House employs 117 staff members, so their donations amount to $117,000.

‘We very, very vividly remember what it’s like to be in the service industry, to be a server, to be a bartender, and to rely on tips to pay the bills,’ Hubbard explained.

‘So we all know everybody’s probably stressed out a little bit during this time, so we really hope we can help you guys out.’

Kelley chimed in: ‘And we’re so grateful to everybody who helps make our restaurant run; every single person: barbacks, waiters, waitresses, bartenders, everybody.’

Florida Georgia Line was formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2010.

The country music duo made a huge splash in the music industry with their debut hit single, Cruise, in 2012.

They have since released four successful studio albums: Here’s To The Good Times (2012), Anything Goes (2014), Dig Your Roots (2016) and Can’t Say I Ain’t Country (2019).
