A Florida motorist who has been caught almost a dozen times for driving without a valid license ended up leading police on a bizarre car chase at a speed of 15mph.
Gordon Ormond later received his fifth DUI. The slow joyride ended with police bursting three of his van’s four tires and taking him into custody.
When officers attempted to pull him over, he continued driving striking basketball hoop in a driveway.
Ormond, from New Port Richey near Tampa, then decided to put his foot down and the chase increased to speeds of up to 35mph before officers laid out a spiked strip in the road.
All of but one of Ormond’s tires was punctured bringing the low-speed chase to a halt.

As Ormond was cuffed by cops he fell to the ground.
‘I have no license. I’m driving on a suspended license,’ Ormond confessed to police on bodycam video. ‘I’m a very good guy,’ he told Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies. ‘I just wanted to park in front of my friend’s house,’ he continues.
‘You need to watch where you are walking, man,’ said one officer. ‘You are so drunk, you have no idea what’s going on.’
56-year-old Ormond was completely shirtless and managed to flash a big smile for his mugshot photo.
Pete Ruscio heard the commotion and after watching the video says he’s thankful no one was hurt.
‘There’s usually a dozen kids there playing basketball or football in the middle of the road all kids. We don’t need that aggravation on this street. It’s a nice quiet street,’ he said to ABC News.
‘Keep your drinking in the bar and cab home or stay home and drink like I do,’ said Ruscio.
