A Florida woman has been arrested after she allegedly raped her husband’s autistic younger brother and gave birth to his child.

Authorities say Amanda Rose Brooks, 34, became pregnant with her victim’s child after she raped him, and then falsely claimed that she was victimized.

U.S. Marshals in Orlando arrested Brooks earlier this month on a warrant for a sexual battery that had been investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Brooks was charged with sexual battery on a person with a developmental disability over the age of 18, providing false information to law enforcement and filing a false report.

According to The Keys Citizen, the alleged assault had happened in 2022 but had started in Mississippi in 2010.

In an arrest warrant seen by the outlet, Brooks is said to have contacted the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and reported that she had been sexually assaulted by her husband and his younger brother.

Brooks is said to have handed over a list of events that had occurred between February and April of last year.

She is said to have told the department that she had been ‘coerced and forced’ to engage in sexual activities and was ‘verbally and psychologically abused’ at their home in Key Haven.

Brooks and her husband were the sole caretakers of his brother, she told investigators.

Due to this, Brooks and her children left the Keys for Orlando and submitted a statement to police there who sent it back to Monroe County.

Brooks also handed over emails, screenshots of messages with friends depicting herself as a ‘victim of abuse’ by the family of her husband who she claimed were harassing her after she left with her children.

In July of 2022 , the mother of her brother-in-law contacted police and said her son was the victim in the case, and that Brooks was the one who allegedly raped him.

It it alleged that Brooks entered his room on several occasions and sexually abused him – an act that had been routine for ten years, according to police.

Her brother-in-law is said to have frequently objected, telling her on multiple occasions that ‘we shouldn’t be doing this’.

The victim told police that Brooks told him ‘to be quiet’, ‘not tell anyone’ and that ‘it was ok because it made her feel good’.

Brooks’ husband has denied having any involvement sexually with her during this time period but told investigators she had an ovulation tracker.

In September of last year, deputies were informed that Brooks was several months pregnant and gave birth to the child in January of this year.

Florida’s Department of Law Enforcement conducted DNA tests on the victim and Brooks’ child and confirmed the victim was the biological father.

Deputies say they could not find any evidence to back up Brooks’ recollection of events and she was arrested on December 10.

Brooks is currently being held in jail in Monroe County on a $150,000 bond according to arrest records.
