Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. continued to live up to his nickname by winning a $100,000 jackpot at a casino and posting the video online.
‘70,000 right here,’ Mayweather said while holding a stack of betting slips in his hand before motioning to the slot machine. ‘But I just hit the jackpot right here.’
Mayweather’s video featured a pair of shamrocks, which could be a reference to Conor McGregor, the Irish mixed martial artist whom he recently defeated in Las Vegas.
Mayweather, 40, moved to 50-0 with a 10th-round technical knockout victory over the UFC star, who had never boxed professionally.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s luck extends to video poker as well as boxing. The 50-0 legend recently won over $100K at a casino
For his efforts, Mayweather was guaranteed a purse of no fewer than $100 million, according to multiple reports.
‘Without a doubt, that was the easiest check ever made in boxing,’ explained retired welterweight and Showtime boxing analyst Paulie Malignaggi, who sparred with McGregor prior to the fight and didn’t hesitate to call McGregor a ‘boxing bum’.
Although Mayweather never called McGregor a ‘bum’ publicly, he didn’t seem to respect the Dublin native as an opponent either.
Mayweather spent the week before the fight promoting his new Las Vegas strip club in person. And while Malignaggi believes Mayweather spent some time in the gym, he said it was obvious that the former Olympic bronze medalist hadn’t been sparring regularly.
‘If you really read between the lines and know boxing, you can tell Floyd didn’t work his hardest in this camp,’ Malignaggi continued. ‘It was close. That’s why I thought it was comical that he came [into the ring] with that ski mask on because this was literally a heist for him. He took this huge money fight because all these suckers believe this is actually a competitive fight that McGregor had a chance to win. He barely did anything to prepare for the fight, and still walked away with a ton of money for his 50th win.’
Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. is not only a boxer, but a promoter, which has allowed him to earn over nine-figure purses in two of his last three bouts
Even Mayweather’s trainer and father, Floyd Sr., acknowledged his son was coasting before the McGregor fight.
‘My son is so great he hardly trained and still beat that man easily,’ Mayweather Sr. told the Philadelphia Voice.
Even the retired Malignaggi (36-8) found McGregor to be a poor challenge, and he wasn’t exactly in fighting shape when the two sparred.
‘Just figure it this way,’ Malignaggi explained. ‘If I can show up in 20, 30 percent shape, less than 24 hours [after] a cross-country flight and go 12 rounds with you and get the better of you for most of the 12 rounds, you got a problem if you’re going up against Floyd Mayweather.’
During McGegor’s training camp, the MMA star’s team put pictures of him ostensibly dominating Malignaggi on social media. However the Brooklyn-born Malignaggi insists he was shoved to the canvas and that the pictures were misleading and intended to give fans confidence that McGregor had a chance to beat Mayweather.
‘People choose to be deceived,’ Malignaggi said of the throngs of McGregor supporters who bought tickets and bet on the fighter. ‘They wanted to be deceived, but the writing was on the wall.’
