Floyd Mayweather walks out to the ring with NBA star Anthony Davis for John Gotti III showdown in Mexico

Floyd Mayweather was accompanied by NBA superstar Anthony Davis in his walk out to the ring before fighting John Gotti III in Mexico.

Davis was seen walking with Mayweather’s entourage on Saturday night, as ‘The Best Ever’ was given a warm reception from the rowdy crowd. He wore a flashy Mexican poncho with ‘TBE’ emblazoned on it.

Davis also stepped into the ring with ‘Money’ before the start of the long-awaited bout and entered the building with Lakers teammate Jarred Vanderbilt.

Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was rumored to be in attendance but was not seen with Mayweather in his walk out to the ring.

It’s unclear if the shooting guard was actually at the event despite all of the pre-fight speculation.

Davis wore a relaxed fit, donning a short sleeve white-and-blue button down with black skinny jeans. Vanderbilt kept it casual as well in a sleeveless red t-shirt and baggy black pants with a baseball cap.

Justin Bieber, Lil’ Wayne and Snoop Dogg previously walked out with Mayweather in the ring.

Mayweather (50-0) and Gotti III, an MMA fight turned boxer, fought in June of last year, but the fight was called off in the sixth round after some chaos outside the ring.

Davis is the first two basketball stars to have stepped out with Mayweather. He and Edwards were part of Team USA basketball’s gold medal quest at the Olympic in Paris, earlier this summer.

Bieber was by TBE’s side before his bout with Canelo Alvarez in 2013.

In 2015, Lil’ Wayne walked out with Mayweather.

Snoop, however, claimed first dibs in 2007.
