Matildas captain Kerr has no intention to leave the Blues as she continues her recovery from an ACL injury 12 months ago.

She was recently in Portugal on a training camp with the WSL ladder leaders, and is believed to be targeting a return to competitive football in February or March.

The Chelsea star, 31, has endured a difficult few weeks after learning her grandmother had been struck by a car in late December.

The incident occurred after Coral, 89, was getting off a bus near her home in Perth.

The driver, 63, allegedly mounted his ute on the curb while trying to overtake a bus and has since been charged.

Kerr and her dad Roger were in the Hunter Valley in NSW celebrating the marriage of Matildas team-mate Emily Van Egmond when they learned of the incident.

Kerr also attended the wedding with her partner, West Ham star Kristie Mewis, who recently announced she was having a baby.

The pair, who got engaged last year, have been dating since 2020.
