Football fans hit out at TNT Sports as sound problems impact coverage of Man United’s Champions League win over Copenhagen

Fans were left raging with TNT Sports as Tuesday’s Champions League coverage suffered from a number of technical difficulties.

The BT Sport rebrand is the UK’s broadcaster of Europe’s premier competition this season.

However, things did not go smoothly during the showing of Manchester United’s tense win over Copenhagen.

A crackling noise could be heard at various points throughout their coverage, leading fans to take to social media to express their frustration.

‘What’s going on with the sound on TNT, wrote one while another said the ‘sound issues all night are ridiculous.’

Another irate viewer tweeted: ‘someone’s getting sacked on the TNT sound team tomorrow while another joked that they had had let students have a crack at doing it.

The poor sound quality wasn’t the only issue on the night as pundit Paul Scholes’ microphone cut out during the build up.

Presenter Laura Woods dealt with it well while Scholes pretended to throw the dodgy mic away.
