In May Goey was fined $5,000 and banned for three weeks after breaking his hand in a bar fight.

He initially claimed he sustained the injury while playing fetch with his dog but later came clean with a video apology to the club and fans.

In a statement, the club said: ‘Collingwood’s Jordan De Goey has notified the club that he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.095 per cent after a random breath test in Port Melbourne on Saturday night.

‘His driver licence was immediately suspended and he has been disqualified from obtaining a licence for the next six months.

‘Club officials will meet on Monday to determine how this matter will be addressed.

‘The club will make no further comment on this matter until a decision has been made.’
