Former 2005 Big Brother hooligan Simon ‘Hotdogs’ Deering shocks fan with surprise TV return

It’s been 13 years since Hotdogs, a.k.a. Simon Deering, made his Australian television debut in the rowdy fifth season of Big Brother.

And fans could hardly believe their eyes on Monday night when the reality TV legend made a surprising return to the spotlight.

After showing up in the most unlikely of programs, Channel Seven’s House Rules, viewers took to Twitter to express their delight and confusion.

Where is Hotdogs now? The former 2005 Big Brother hooligan Simon Deering shocks fans with appearance on ANOTHER reality TV show… and you’ll never guess what he’s up to now

Hotdogs, real name Simon Deering, made a brief cameo on Channel Seven’s renovation series, House Rules.

Not appearing as a contestant, this time Hotdogs was introduced as a local Perth property expert for Purplebricks.

Wearing a tailored suit, he gave homeowners and House Rules stars Chiara and David a valuation for their recently renovated Western Australia house.

Although it’s almost been two decades since he rose to fame on Big Brother, Simon couldn’t escape being recognised by viewers.

Not shy of the spotlight, Simon also posed nude for Cleo magazine and starred in the pilot episode of comedy show The Wedge in 2006.

However, not all of press has been positive for the star, with Simon pleading guilty to three charged of public nuisance in September, 2005, after an incident occurred outside of a Cairns nightclub.

He was fined $1000 at the time.
