Former glamour model who got a boob job at 18 shares plastic surgery nightmare

A former glamour model has revealed how her plastic surgery nightmare left her on dialysis with kidney failure from silicone implants.

Living in London at just 18 years old with dreams of stardom, New Zealand woman Lesley-Ann decided enlargement surgery would help boost her career.

At the time, she wanted to follow in the path of other successful models who were having their breasts done.

During their consultation her surgeon said the implants were a lifetime device and didn’t point out any risks.

‘They were okay for few years then, after a car crash which I believe slightly ruptured them, my nightmare health journey began,’ Lesley-Ann, now 36, told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I started becoming fatigued very easily and was constantly freezing cold then – at age 24 – I noticed I had swelling in my ankles.

‘I went to several doctors, including rheumatologists who treated me for Arthritis even although the tests came back negative. Treatment included methotrexate chemo and steroids – nothing worked.

‘As the years went on I become more and more immobile, weak and exhausted.

‘Shortly after I came back from holidays, my ankles were huge so I went to see my doctor who ordered bloods immediately.

‘I got a phone call in the early hours of the next morning from my GP saying “wake up there’s an ambulance coming to pick you, up you are very, very sick and your kidneys have failed”.

‘I was admitted to hospital for four weeks as they initially thought I had leukaemia. Then they decided it was severe nephritis inflammation response that shut my kidneys down, but it always remained a mystery as to why this happened as I had no family history of kidney disease and did not smoke.

‘They treated me with aggressive chemo intravenously and that seemed to stop the inflammation for a while, however my kidney function only returned to about 20 per cent.

‘I was advised dialysis would be in my future at 29 years old.’

Lesley-Ann was devastated, miraculously however after one-and-a-half years of trying she fell pregnant with her son.

He was born at 29 weeks and spent seven weeks in intensive care while the toll of the birth distressed her kidneys.

‘I lost the remainder of my kidney function and started dialysis when he was six months old.’

It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that Lesley-Ann began her own research which solved the cause to her health issues.

‘That’s when I had my lightbulb moment and found a Facebook page with thousands of women with breast implants who had all experienced similar suffering in varying degrees.

‘I then discovered more ladies that had kidney failure too due to severe autoimmune inflammation reaction caused my the body fighting off these foreign toxic invaders from the implants.’

‘The inflammation, heart palpitations, chest pain, swollen ankles, chronic fatigue, brain fog as well as fibromyalgia and constant coldness were all gone within four weeks of ‘explant’ surgery.

‘Now that my body is clean of those toxic bags I’m now ready for my transplant but if I don’t get a transplant soon, I’m not going to live to see my wee boy grow up.’

Lesley-Ann is speaking out as she wants others to be aware of the shocking impact breast enlargement surgery can have on the body, as she and others have found.

‘I believe women need to know the dangers. All implants will cause  autoimmune diseases of some sort in all people, it’s the natural way humans were designed.

‘Humans were designed to reject foreign toxic objects.’
