Former MAFS star Clare Verrall announces venture into plus-size modelling

Only two months ago, Clare Verrall said she was ’embarrassed’ to leave the house after gaining 44kg due to her ongoing struggle with PTSD.

But the former Married At First Sight star appeared a much happier and confident woman this week, when she announced her foray into plus-size modelling.

The 34-year-old stripped down for a beachside photoshoot for Curvy Confidence Co, flaunting her figure in busty swimsuits.

Taking to Instagram to reveal the news, Clare revealed her excitement and nerves at the prospect of posing in a swimsuit.

‘On my way to my first-ever professional modelling shoot and I’m not remotely terrified… I’m terrified,’ she said.

During the beach photoshoot, Clare posed in a black one-piece alongside two other models. She later changed into a blue crochet bikini.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Clare Verrall for comment.

The news comes after Clare vowed to shed weight in January, after revealing she weighed 114kg having gained 44kg in recent years.

Last week, she announced she had managed to lose 26kg in just four months.

In an Instagram post, Clare showed off her stunning weight loss, detailing how she planned to lose another 15kg to reach her goal weight.

’26kg down since November, 15kg more to go until I’m back at my healthy, happiest weight. Note, that is 12kg more than my skinniest weight,’ Clare wrote in the caption.

She added: ‘I learned when I was at my thinnest, that despite what I had believed for 30 years, being skinny did NOT mean being mentally happy! Being curvy, but HEALTHY, is when I feel my best.’
