Former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is training with Luton Town, Mail Sport can reveal.

The 25-year-old has been without a club since becoming a free agent after being released by the Red Devils this summer.

Tuanzebe was loaned to Championship side Stoke last season but an injury restricted him to just five appearances.

He turned down multiple offers including a life-changing one from Saudi Arabia to ensure that he followed his individual rehab program with a team of physios and coaches specifically dedicated to him, so that he minimises further injuries risk.

The defender spent the last three weeks living and training in the countries best facility, the national team’s St George’s Park where he was pushed to the limit and has completed the program injury free.

Tuanzebe has interest from clubs in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Turkish Super Lig and Saudi Arabia.

But he has decided to train with Luton and started full contact training with the Premier League new boys on Sunday.

Tuanzebe came through the ranks at Manchester United and made his debut for them as a teenager in 2017.

The centre-back went on to make 37 appearances for the club across all competitions before his departure earlier this summer.

He previously also had loan spells with Aston Villa and Serie A side Napoli
