Former Miss Tourism Sarah Czarnuch discuses her diet

She’s the sensational model who used to own the title of Miss Tourism Australia.

And in order to fulfill her daily photoshoot requirements – and look the part in the process – Sarah Czarnuch has to fill her body with energy-boosting nutrients.

Speaking to Husskie about her usual day on a plate, the Melbourne-hailing superstar admitted she prefers to get her vitamins from food – but does take a fish oil tablet or magnesium powder if an early-morning training session has left her sore.

Then it’s straight off to her gym, Fox Fit, to keep her abs in check.

If she plans on seeing a personal trainer that day she’ll also down a banana before the 8am appointment.

Breakfast

Following a sweat session Sarah returns home at 9.30am for a smoothie bowl.

While she does enjoy switching up the ingredients depending on the season, at the moment she’s enjoying the flavour of maqui berry powder.

Sarah’s maqui berry smoothie recipe

Maqui Bowl made with blending:

  • 1.5 frozen banana
  • Cup of blueberries
  • Almond milk
  • Ice
  • 2 tsp of Maqui Powder
  • 1 tsp of Super Greens Probiotic Powder
  • Topped with whatever fruit I have on hand/granola/goji berries/cacao nibs/ almonds

If she’s leaving for a modelling job she’ll have her smoothie on-the-go with a touch of pea plant protein, but otherwise she’ll just enjoy the concoction at home.

From around 11.30am, when the mid-morning snack hunger hits, Sarah satiates herself with a banana, apple or dry roasted almonds.

Lunch

Because she tends to be busy throughout the middle of the day her lunch will often be catered by a client.

Making healthy choices could be difficult in this situation but Sarah handles the situation with aplomb – by choosing a buddha bowl, rice paper rolls or even sushi.

A ‘buddha bowl’ is often a colourful, filling dish built in a large bowl and made up of grains, veggies (raw, sautéed and/or roasted), protein (legumes, tofu or meat), greens and seeds – and to finish it all off, a delicious dressing.

There is no one way to make them but they tend to have some kind of spinach or kale base to them or quinoa and brown rice.

When it hits snack time again at 3pm, Sarah reaches for dry roasted chickpeas she’s made the day before.

Dinner

At the moment she’s enjoying a light meal of seared salmon, ‘served with plenty of greens alongside rice or sweet potato’, she said.

And then it’s time for a slither of dessert – with Sarah usually opting for Pana Chocolate’s Sour Cherry and Vanilla flavour.
