Former MKR ‘villain’ Sonya Mefaddi looks simply stunning in a floral dress at Miami Swim Week

Former MKR ‘villain’ Sonya Mefaddi, 43, was famously eliminated alongside teammate Hadil Faiza for ‘bullying’ and ‘threatening’ other contestants.

But it seems Sonya is having the last laugh thanks to the success of her agency Fashion Palette at Miami Swim Week.

The reality TV star looked carefree and confident in a breezy floral frock as she attended the exclusive event on Sunday ahead of the Fashion Palette runway show.

Posing against the backdrop of a stunning indoor water feature, Sonya looked proud as punch as she celebrated the success of her runway showcase.

Featuring in Fashion Palette’s catwalk show was Australian supermodel Natalie Roser, who turned heads in a series of stylish bikinis.

Bronzed and toned to perfection, Natalie modelled new designs from the likes of VDM The Label, Aqua Blu, Lil & Emm and Frankie Swimwear.

‘Australia has some of the world’s best swim brands and I am proud to be representing such an amazing cross section of local talent in Miami for the first time,’ Fashion Palette Founder, Sonya told The Daily Telegraph ahead of the show.

Meanwhile, Sonya has been trying to distance herself from the controversy surrounding unceremonious booting from MKR.

Earlier this week, the star sensationally claimed that she and her on-screen ‘Jordanian BFF’ Hadil Faiza were anything but close.

‘Firstly, Hadil and I were never best friends as the show suggested,’ Sonya wrote to her Instagram followers.

‘We are in fact family friends. I have never cooked with her prior to the show and I have learned a lot about Hadil while filming.’

Sonya also confirmed she has not been in contact with her former teammate.

Hitting back: 'We are in fact family friends. I have never cooked with her prior to the show and I have learned a lot about Hadil while filming,' she candidly wrote on Instagram earlier this week

‘I decided to distance myself from Hadil after the show,’ she added, ‘Simply put and in short, I felt her energy wasn’t a positive one to have in my life.’

Sonya and Hadil were notably absent from the MKR finale in April, following their removal from the series in the aftermath of a dinner table fight with rivals Jess Alvial and Emma Byron.

Tensions reached fever pitch when the two women made repeated unkind remarks about Jess and Emma’s appearance before screaming at the other contestants and calling them ‘disrespectful a**holes’.
