She captioned the clip, which was shared to YouTube Shorts, ‘Everything that happens in a Mormon temple in 60 seconds.’

Alyssa first said that their is an age restriction on who enters the church.

‘You’re not permitted to enter a temple until your 12 years old,’ she noted.

When you first come into the sacred temple, you undergo a ritual with the dead.

The former Mormon added: ‘At 12 [years old], you do something called Baptisms for the Dead, where you are baptized in the place where people’s souls have passed away.’

After the haunting ritual, you don’t undergo any unusual practices until you become a ‘worthy adult.’

‘Once you are a worthy adult, you do an initiation ceremony where you are ceremoniously washed and anointed.

‘Every part of your body is blessed, including your nose, bowels, loins and breast,’ she explained.

Following that practice, you are given your religious underclothes, which are intended to be worn everyday.

Alyssa said: ‘After the washing and anointing, you receive your garments.

‘These are special underwear that you are required to wear day and night for the rest of your life.

‘You are then qualified to participate in the endowment ceremony, which is where you are promised to become a king or queen in the Mormon afterlife.

‘During the ceremony, you learn about Adam and Eve, secret handshakes and secret gestures.

‘You are told you will be able to use this secret information to get past the angels who guard the gates of heaven.’
