Former NFL Kerry Rhodes excited to watch AFL grand final

He’s the former NFL star who married Australian actress Nicky Whelan earlier this year at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

And Kerry Rhodes, 35, told The Daily Telegraph he is excited to watch the AFL grand final between the Adelaide Crows and Richmond Tigers.

‘Anything that is the final is going to be good,’ he said.

The footballer turned actor added: ‘I’m looking forward to seeing the guys play.’

Kerry also revealed that he recently watched an NRL game, ‘everyone said this is a better game than that, so I’m anticipating a great show.’

The Arizona Cardinals player and his wife, former Neighbours star Nicky Whelan were flew to Melbourne from their base in Los Angeles especially for the event by Virgin Australia.

The couple took to Instagram to share a snap in their comfortable in-flight wear from their luxurious flat-beds.

They even had the same caption on their respective posts: ‘We are gonna get some good sleep before the AFL Grand Final Party!!!’

Both Nicky and Kerry are expected to be glammed up for the football event this weekend.

This comes after the blonde beauty’s commercial for betting app Crown Bet recently hit Australian screens.

Nicky also recently finished filming Love by Drowning, a story about two and their connection to a woman, Lee Anne over 17 years.
