Ex-NFL player Emmanuel Acho gushed over Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas after her dominant performance in the 200m final.
The linebacker-turned-analyst took to X on Tuesday after Thomas’ win at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
‘Imagine graduating from Harvard at 22 and winning an Olympic gold medal at 27,’ he began.
‘Gabby Thomas, you are legendary my friend. Legendary!’
As Acho pointed out, the track star is accomplished in multiple fields.

She studied neurobiology at Harvard University before moving to Texas to complete a Master’s Degree in epidemiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Upon relocating to Austin, she continued her athletics training with all-star coach Tonja Buford-Bailey.
Thomas arrived in Paris with the fastest 200-meter time in the world this year, after running 21.78 at the Olympic trials.
She proved herself again on the world stage when she pulled away from the field with ease and finally picked up a gold medal.
After crossing the finish line, Thomas wrapped an American flag around her shoulders and ran over to her friends and family in the stands.
She was seen hugging her boyfriend, Spencer McManes, who donned a ‘Team Gabby’ shirt.

It was the 27-year-old’s first Olympic title, having won a silver and a bronze in Tokyo in 2021
The two also sweetly posed for a selfie after her entrepreneur beau threw his hands in the air while celebrating Thomas’ win.
Although it’s not clear how the couple met, they began dating in late 2022 while living in Austin.
McManes, who played football at Yale University, is Thomas’ biggest supporter, and has even recruited his family members to join her cheer squad.
His mom, Lori, who was cheering Thomas on at the Olympics, previously paid tribute to the Team USA star after the trials.
‘We are SO PROUD to be TEAM GABBY,’ she wrote on Instagram in June.
‘That win yesterday was hard! Incredible talent on the line. We are so happy Gabby will represent our great country on Team USA. Can’t wait to cheer her on IN PARIS!! Love you sweet Gabby,’ she added.
