She’s the effervescent former co-host of Perfect Match.

Making a change: These days Nicky Buckley has swapped glamorous gowns for a pair of garden gloves and a shovel after she and her family have permanently located to an idyllic bushland property near Bells Beach, Victoria

The presenter, along with her husband Murray Bingham, and her sons, Cooper, 21, Jasper, 19, and Baxter, 15, made the change after frequently holidaying in the area.

They also own a business in the area, a restaurant, so it made sense to make the move.

‘We had started running a restaurant down this way and we had also been holidaying down here a lot,’ Nicky told the magazine.

While friends worried that the property was ‘too isolated’ Nicky insists it’s absolutely  perfect.

‘We found that this was where we really wanted to be. I remember when we first made the decision to move here for good, people said: ‘But won’t you feel isolated?’ That’s never, ever been the case,’ she told the magazine.

Nicky added: ‘It’s so easy to drive back to Melbourne whenever we need to and the lifestyle here is amazing.’

Located close to Bell’s Beach, the family also like to visit the ocean often, when not in their five-bedroom, two-bathroom, four-hectare property.

The former teen model says that the privacy suits her perfectly despite her high-profile work.

She told the Herald Sun: ‘I am private even though you work in this industry that is public. I’m very much a private person, I keep to myself a lot, so to do this is the opposite to what people would expect of me’.
