Former Premier League forward and two-time Champions League winner arrives at the TENTH club of his globetrotting career

A former Premier League forward that was once viewed as one of Europe’s most promising forwards has completed a move to the tenth side of his nomadic career.

Once tipped to be part of Spain’s 2014 World Cup squad, the 31-year-old recently spent nine months out of football but will now ply his trade in the Malaysian Super League after returning to the game.

Johor Darul Ta’zim have won their domestic league title for ten years in a row and have made a major statement of intent to continue their dominance with a major signing.

The new arrival is Jese Rodriguez, a graduate of Real Madrid’s academy and two-time Champions League winner.

Born on the island of Gran Canaria, Jese joined Los Blancos as a teeanger and soon become a regular feature for the club’s reserve side.

Then Real boss Jose Mourinho quickly took note of Jese’s burgeoning talents and handed the forward his full debut ate the age of 18, replacing Cristiano Ronaldo for the closing stages of a Copa del Rey tie.

A regular for Spain’s youth sides, Jese would go on to make 94 appearances in all competitions in the Spanish capital and was part of two Champions League-winning teams.

His time at Madrid would come to an end in 2016 as he completed a move worth £20m to join French giants PSG.

However, Jese would struggle to maintain his form after joining Les Parisiens and was repeatedly sent out on loan.

One of those spells would see him arrive at Stoke City in the summer of 2017, but his time at the club was plagued by disciplinary issues and he was allowed to depart the club early after scoring just once in the Premier League as the club succumbed to relegation.

But an ill-fated move to PSG in 2016 curtailed his momentum and he has since embarked on a nomadic career

After leaving PSG Jese enjoyed successful spell in the Spanish second tier with Las Palmas before stints at Turkish side Ankaragucu and Sampdoria in Serie A.

Prior to his most recent move, Jese made the move to Brazil, signing a short-term deal with Serie A club Coritiba.

However, he would score just once in six appearances for Coxa before departing the club in January.
