A former soldier has admitted to sexually abusing his three young children and forcing them to pose for photos later shared on child porn websites.

The father, 34, was sentenced in the Townsville District Court on Friday after pleading guilty to 13 charges in relation to the sexual abuse against his children, who were aged one, four and six.

The man raped his four-year-old daughter and made his eldest son pose in sexual positions with his sister to create child pornography, Townsville Bulletin reported.

Investigators found the man had uploaded more than 40 child pornography images to a Russian website, crown prosecutor Andrew Walklate said.

In one of the images posted to a website the father said: ‘Love you, you’re a sexy little girl.’

‘We would love to share images with you,’ the father said while encouraging users to email him.

The man, who spent 11 years in the Royal Australian Armoured Corps before being medically discharged, was arrested in may after a tip off from Interpol.

A victim impact statement from the children’s paternal grandparents said the children now live with an incredible sadness.

‘Grief controls every facet of our lives.’

They said the children believe they are guilty of something they had no control over.

A psychological report found the man was not clinically a paedophile, Judge Paul Smith told the court.

The report found the man had no idea why he had abused his children.

The man has been sentenced to 13 years behind bars, and he will not be eligible for parole for at least ten years.
