Rugby champ Stirling Mortlock is set to put his country home in NSW under the hammer.
The five-bedroom, two-bathroom property located in Bowral has been listed for auction with a price guide of $2.25million.
The former Wallabies captain and his wife Caroline bought the charming property in the Southern Highlands as a fixer-upper in 2018 for a reported $1.38million.
The couple acquired this rural retreat as part of a ‘tree-change’ after selling their large home on Sydney’s north shore in the same year for $3.8million, according to a report by the Wentworth Courier.
The home is situated in Burradoo, a suburb of Bowral, which is about 120km from Sydney.
The couple made significant renovations to the original four-bedroom house, which was built in 2009.
Improvements included adding an extra bedroom and creating a new open-plan layout.
Highlights of the property feature an entertainment deck accessible from the kitchen, as well as a second patio that flows from the formal dining room.

According to the Wentworth Courier, the couple are now moving to Melbourne, where Mortlock has opened an office for his business, XV Capital, a sports tech investment firm.
The couple, who have three children, originally bought the property in Burradoo to be near Caroline’s family.
The Mortlock family experienced a significant lifestyle change after selling their large home in Pymble, which they purchased for $2.4million during Stirling Mortlock’s successful rugby union career.
Their beautiful two-level home was constructed with double brick and slab materials.
Notable features included a stunning saltwater swimming pool, a full-sized tennis court, and a beautifully landscaped garden.
Additionally, there was a guest bedroom.
Mortlock, now 47, gained fame as a rugby union champion starting in 1998 and scored over 480 points during his test career with the Wallabies.
He also accumulated over 1,000 points in Super Rugby before retiring in 2012.
