Kunwar Bansil has become the first of the 16 people sacked by Yorkshire in response to the club’s mishandling of the Azeem Rafiq affair to find another job in professional cricket.
Bansil, who served as first-team physio with Yorkshire for eight years before losing his job in December, has taken up a similar post with Nottinghamshire.
The purge of staff came after the ECB made demands of the club in exchange for the lifting of Headingley’s ban on hosting international cricket.
This included the removal of vetoing ‘powers’ for the Graves Trust, which is controlled by the family of Colin Graves, the man who bankrolled the club and transformed its fortunes at the turn of the century.
Current chair Lord Patel plans to push this through via a vote of members at a meeting on March 14.
