Four people have been rescued after reportedly being trapped on a ride 10metres in the air at Movie World, a spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

The riders became trapped within the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster attraction at the Gold Coast theme park.

There are no reported injuries, but technical rescue crews were on-scene working to safely remove the riders.

In April, a child suffered serious injuries after hitting his head on the Looney Tunes Carousel ride at Movie World.

Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster is an enclosed roller coaster.

It’s based on the 2002 live action film Scooby-Doo, which was filmed at the studio beside the park at the same time the ride was being constructed.

In 2018 the ride underwent a significant theming overhaul and reopened in December under the name Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster: Next Generation with a new ride storyline and new special effects.
