Fourth person charged with murder of Melbourne man, 43

A fourth person has been charged with murdering Melbourne man Paul Costa who was found dead in a park wearing a designer suit.

Taisi Bartley, 20, was on Friday charged with murdering Mr Costa and stealing the victim’s 4WD while wielding a knife on July 2.

Mr Costa, 43, was found dead in a Zegna suit and shoes at Dunstan Reserve in Brunswick West.

Bartley briefly faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was remanded in custody.

Three teenagers, aged 16, 17 and 18, have previously been charged with murdering Mr Costa.

When the 17-year-old faced court on Thursday, a prosecutor said CCTV footage was being analysed and phones had been seized.

‘It was a very complex scene,’ prosecutor Ashleigh Harrold told the Children’s Court.

The teens cannot be named for legal reasons.

‘He had a heart of gold,’ his sister Sandra Di Giorgio said.

Prosecutors say Mr Costa was killed the day before his body was found by a passer-by.

Bartley and the teens are expected to return to court on January 15 for a committal mention.
