Fox Nation host Britt McHenry has revealed she has a brain tumor and will undergo surgery. 

McHenry, 33, worked as a reporter for ESPN before joining Fox News as a contributor in 2018. 

She is expected to undergo surgery on Thursday. The journalist said she had an MRI for her neck and brain earlier this week.

‘I have a brain tumor. I’m with an amazing medical team and surgery is imminent,’ she wrote.

‘Thank you for continued support and understanding at this time.’  

She remained defiant, telling her 230,000 followers: ‘Overwhelmed by the support by friends & strangers alike. With the best surgeons and doctors. Just another thing to take on.’

Fox Nation is an American subscription streaming service and spinoff from Fox News Channel. McHenry hosts the service’s ‘UN-PC’ show. 

In December 2019, she sued Fox News, accusing the network of being a ‘sanctuary for sexual harassers’ after her former co-host George Murdoch allegedly ‘crudely sexually harassed’ her.

She alleged that for months in 2018 the former WWE wrestler sent her sexually explicit text messages as they both worked on their show Un-PC, but when she complained Fox Nation executive Jennifer Rauchet told her she was ‘replaceable’. 

Voices offering their support for the 33-year-old include Meghan McCain, whose father, Sen. John McCain, died in 2018 after being diagnosed with brain cancer. 

‘Sending love and strength Brit. Please let me know if there’s anything we can do,’ McCain wrote in a Tweet reply to McHenry. 

Former Fox News and NBC host Megyn Kelly said: ‘Sending you much love and strength. We are all behind you.’
