Ceiling-mounted clothes dryers have become a staple in recent years with house-proud mums raving about their space-saving properties.
But others have argued they are difficult to use and prefer to lug around the iconic clothes horse instead.
However, many are now changing their minds after a remote-controlled version hit the market and immediately went viral.
‘I’m sick of all the bruises I sustain while bumping into my indoor drying rack,’ a woman said. ‘Hanging my clothes from the ceiling might just be the best idea,’ one mum wrote after seeing a picture of the high-tech gadget in use.

‘This is my indoor drying solution,’ one woman wrote in the group . ‘It’s especially very handy when there’s extreme weather.’
And dozens jumped on board, adding to the excitement.
‘I need one of these – they’ll save me so much time,’ one mum said.
‘Never having to go to the laundromat again is my dream,’ added another.
While others were dissuaded by the price.

‘That is needlessly expensive,’ a man said. ‘I just dry my clothes around my house on whatever has hanging space and it works the same.’
‘I’m not spending so much money on a clothes rack – cheaper to buy a dryer.’
The popular buy has 18 different positions for hanging clothes with hangers and can be installed anywhere in the home including the living room, laundry, bathroom or outside on balconies or in the backyard.
Foxydry’s handy device also holds up to 35kg of laundry and was contracted with aluminum and steel.

Mums spotted the chic tool on a woman’s Facebook page but at a whopping $141 -plus $148 in shipping fees – it’s not the most budget-friendly buy.
The home enthusiast ‘got the idea’ to buy the IronmongeryWorld tool on Etsy from a friend who lives in the UK and has a ceiling clothes airer.

‘I’m a little bit in love with my new clothes airer’, she wrote, when she shared a picture of the pulley on popular Facebook page.
‘You lower it using the pulley rope on the wall near drier. It comes down to the height of the bench. Then when the laundry is on it you raise it up so it’s out of the way,’ she said.
Many home owners with small laundry spaces loved the idea.
‘This is genius. I have very high ceilings with a small laundry. It would totally work in my laundry,’ one woman said.
‘Love the design. Actually looks good as well as being practical,’ another commented.
‘This is what I need,’ another wrote.
‘I have the same, love it,’ another woman said, sharing a picture of her own laundry airer.

One lucky mum found a similar device in Bunnings Special Order desk 10 years ago which they still use ‘every day’, however it’s no longer on sale in Bunnings.
