Fran Drescher, 66, stuns in elegant pearly white pantsuit with a sparkly handbag as she joins A-list stars at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Fran Drescher made quite the impression while arriving at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, which was held in Washington, D.C., on Saturday evening.

The 66-year-old performer flashed a smile as she posed for a few snaps on the red carpet of the annual star-studded event.

The National President of SAG–AFTRA opted for a patterned white jacket that was paired with a matching pair of pants.

Drescher also wore a pair of sparkling silver high-heeled shoes and carried a matching purse.

The star of The Nanny accessorized with a single necklace and a sparkling pair of earrings, both of which gave her look for the evening a bit of extra shine.

Her voluminous brunette hair remained free-flowing and cascaded onto her shoulders.

Drescher’s appearance at the event took place just one month after it was revealed that she would be reprising her role as Bobbi Flekman in the upcoming mockumentary feature Spinal Tap II.

The performer initially portrayed the character in This Is Spinal Tap, which was released in 1984.

The feature was met with widely positive reviews upon its debut, and it was selected for preservation by the National Film Registry in 2002.

Director Rob Reiner, who also portrayed Martin Di Bergi in the original feature, initially revealed that he was working on a sequel to the film in 2022.

The filmmaker co-wrote the new movie’s screenplay with Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer, who will reprise their roles as Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins and Derek Smalls.

Performers such as John Michael Higgins, Chris Addison and Jason Acuña will round out the cast of the film.

Numerous musicians, including Paul McCartney, Elton John and Lars Ulrich, are set to make cameo appearances in the movie.

Production on Spinal Tap II kicked off last month, with filming taking place in New Orleans.

Reiner spoke about the project during an interview for Today and stated that the film’s creative team was initially hesitant to produce a sequel to the original Spinal Tap feature.

He recalled: ‘We were very nervous about doing a second one because it (has) become a classic…And so sometimes you say, “I don’t want to touch that.”‘

The filmmaker added: ‘I think we have a way of doing it that will be different and hopefully people will enjoy it.’
