Francesca Packer-Barham sells her $2.6million apartment in Elizabeth Bay

James Packer’s niece Francesca Packer-Barham, 25, sells her luxury apartment in Sydney’s Elizabeth Bay for $2.6million… after spending $16million on a stunning penthouse

Francesca Packer-Barham has sold her luxurious apartment in Sydney’s Elizabeth Bay for $2.6million, just four years after purchasing the pad.

According to a report by Domain, the 25-year-old niece of billionaire James Packer made a $500,000 profit on the property after purchasing it in 2016 for $2.1million.

The apartment is one of 78 in the building, which was previously known as the Sebel Townhouse Hotel – a popular rock and roll hotel, which accommodated guests such as Elton John and David Bowie.

The two-storey luxury apartment located in the harbourside suburb in Eastern Sydney, boasts two spacious bedrooms, as well as two bathrooms.

The master bedroom features deluxe ensuite facilities alongside a study zone and an internal laundry.

The building itself also has an array of extra conveniences, including a pool, spa and gym for tenants to enjoy.

This comes after Francesca, the daughter of Gretel Packer and financier Nicholas Barham, purchased a $16million five-bedroom apartment in Sydney’s Darlinghurst in October last year.

Covering an entire floor, the apartment in the ‘Horizons’ block, which was designed by Australian-Austrian architect Harry Seidler, features five spacious bedrooms and five bathrooms.

It boasts extravagant views of the harbour and luxurious fittings, including Cote D’Azure marble and designer lighting.

The selling point of the penthouse is undoubtedly its balcony, offering 360 degree views of Sydney Harbour.

There is a wine room and a ‘wet bar’ for serving drinks, while the apartment building also contains a pool, tennis court, gym, barbecue area and landscaped gardens.

It would be a huge investment for the brunette, after the socialite sold her home in Melbourne’s South Yarra for $7.6 million in 2017.
