Frank Lampard has confirmed that Reece James and Mason Mount will likely be ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Blues manager was speaking ahead of his side’s clash with Brentford on Thursday, as they search for a first win since his appointment earlier this month.

Lampard has endured a tough start to life as Chelsea’s interim manager, having suffered four defeat from his first four matches in charge.

‘Reece James unavailable. Probably for the season. Mason Mount probably the same. Potential for the last game but probably not. Kai won’t be available tomorrow,’ Lampard said.
