Frank Warren has warned Anthony Joshua could get distracted in Saturday’s Wembley heavyweight title clash by the presence of two superstars sitting ringside.

Joshua is attempting to become a three-time world heavyweight champions against fellow Brit Daniel Dubois who will defend his IBF title belt for the first time.

A sell-out 96,000 strong crowd will watch the two London-born athletes go toe-to-toe inside the ring as they meet for the first time, with Joshua slight favourite to reign victorious.

Friday’s weigh in saw Joshua tip the scales 4lbs heavier than Dubois, but both come into the bout at almost exactly the same weight as they were in their last outings.

The winner of the weekend contest is expected to then fight the victor of Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch with Tyson Fury and Joshua has been warned not to get distracted by the potential of a heavyweight unification bout.

Ukrainian star Usyk previously beat Joshua twice to dethrone the Brit’s world title status, while a mega battle of Britain clash with rival Fury has also been discussed.

Dubois and Fury’s promoter, Warren, believes the presence of Usyk and Fury at Wembley could prove to be a distraction for Joshua who has enjoyed a resurgence since being beaten by the Ukrainian.

‘Usyk will be there, as will be Tyson, but I don’t think it’s anything for [Dubois]. It could be a distraction for AJ as he has beaten AJ twice,’ Warren told Sky Sports.

‘Usyk is the man at the moment, he’s the guy who is top of the tree, and these two are trying to get the winner of the rematch between Tyson and Usyk.

‘They know how important this fight is, and as I say, I believe the winner of this will fight the winner of the fight in December.

Dubois previously lost to Usyk last year, but argued at the time that he should have won the fight after knocking down his opponent only for the decision to be chalked off as a controversial low blow.

However, Warren believes the 27-year-old is now ready to fight Usyk again, adding: ‘He’s ready to fight Usyk again, I really do believe that.

‘Having come out of the fight, shared the ring with him and knowing what happened last time, I really do believe he’s ready.’

Speaking after the weigh-in on Friday night, Warren added: ‘It’s a massive fight and we will see fireworks tomorrow.

‘He’s [Dubois] a young man, he turned 27 a few weeks ago and is coming off some massive wins. I’ve never seen him this confident. Tomorrow you will see something special.

‘These two guys will throw bombs at each other and you’ll see something extra special.’
