Ariana Grande’s brother Frankie says he is ‘beyond heartbroken’ at the sudden death of Mac Miller.
In an Instagram post Wednesday, the 35-year-old YouTube personality shared a photo of the rapper who was found dead of a suspected overdose at his home last Friday.
Alongside it he wrote: ‘I am beyond heartbroken over Malcolm’s death. He was a good friend and was wonderful to my sister.’

He went on to talk about how Miller, 26, had helped and supported him through his own addiction crisis.
‘He was the reason I went to the rehabilitation center where I was detoxed safely from all of the drugs alcohol and medications I was taking, when I couldn’t imagine living without them,’ he said.
‘It was the place where I found the community of support that showed me that living life without drugs was a possibility and I would never have discovered that if it weren’t for Malcolm.’
He added that the rapper, whose real name was Malcolm McCormick, would send him gifts and cars to celebrate milestones in his recovery and told him he knew how hard it was to get sober.

Frankie finished his tribute with the words: ‘Malcom my friend, you will be dearly missed. and I know you will be looking down on me from heaven, proudAF for every day I live my life clean and sober… 453 days and counting… Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’
Ariana and Miller dated for two years before she broke off the relationship this past May. She is now engaged to SNL star Pete Davidson.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported Wednesday that Miller’s body was loaded onto a plane in Los Angeles and was being flown to his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Sources told the website that a Jewish service will be held later this week.
On Monday, the LA County Coroner’s office revealed that an autopsy on Miller had been completed and his body released to his family.
An official cause of death has yet to be determined pending the results of toxicology tests.
