Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix won the women’s 10-metre platform final at the British Diving Championships to qualify for that event at the Paris Olympics.
The 19-year-old diver, daughter of celebrity chef Fred Sirieix, won with a score of 363.7 points.
Lois Toulson came in second with 335.90 with Eden Cheng in third managed 327.75.
‘I’m elated,’ she told the BBC. ‘Thank you for all the support and I give glory to God.
‘I just kept on pushing through that competition.

‘I really like to have my coach with me [between dives] just because he helps get my head out of my head. I like to listen to some gospel music just to re-centre myself and just enjoy the competition.’
Asked what her goal is, she said: ‘To enjoy myself! We’ll see what happens in Paris but I really just want to enjoy it.’
This was the key event in the qualification run for Paris for both the 3m and 10m diving competitions.
Spendolini-Sirieix won the event and achieved a pre-set points tally in both the preliminaries and final, meaning a second place is available also.
Jack Laugher claimed first in the men’s 3m at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre to make himself the prim candidate to be selected for that event in Paris.
The 29-year-old came fourth in the preliminaries but won the final with 507.20 points, ahead of Jordan Houlden on 476.20 points and Dan Goodfellow, who scored 471.60.
‘The first three are my easier dives and, if I do them well, I know I’m in good stead for the final three,’ said Laugher.

‘A little wobble on my fourth but fifth and sixth were really good so I’m very happy.’
Spendolini-Sirieix were already going to Paris for Team Great britain as they had been chosen among the synchronised pairings.
