‘Crazy people will do crazy things’: Bizarre case of frisky couple filmed having sex in the middle of a public park is a ‘one off’ – police say

  • A couple have been caught having sex in a park in Perth in the middle of the day
  • The couple’s daylight rendezvous was interrupted after a dog ran up to them
  • The bizarre incident has been brushed off as a ‘one off’ by WA police officers

The bizarre case of a couple filmed having sex in the middle of a public park in broad daylight has been brushed off as a ‘one off’ incident by police officers.

Footage of the pair having an intimate moment in Langley Park, in Perth, was uploaded to Twitter on Thursday.

‘It seems to be very much to be a one-off instance,’ WA Police Minister Michelle Roberts told Perth Now.

‘From time to time, crazy people will do crazy things. Hopefully this is a one off and it’s not an indicator of any further behaviour of that nature.’

The park can be seen by workers in nearby office buildings in the CBD.

The incident comes after calls for increased police presence in the area to keep anti-social behaviour under control.

But Ms Roberts said it was impossible to prevent every single ‘instance of someone doing some stupid’.

The video appeared to have been filmed from a nearby office tower.

The couple’s rendezvous was interrupted after a dog ran up to them and the dog’s owner approached.

Video footage showed the woman sitting beside her companion as she patted the dog and spoke to its owner.

The couple were in the middle of Langley Park, in Perth, and appeared to have been engaged in an intimate act when they were caught on film

Social media users were perplexed at what they had witnessed.

‘I like the way passers by give them space,’ one person said.

Another simply said: ‘What the f***.’

Public indecency carries a maximum two years penalty in prison.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Western Australia police for further comment.
