For one night of the year, famous faces are pictured entering swanky parties and clubs, trying to out-do one another with the most original outfit idea.
Some choose to do and old classic in infinite detail, while others put a twist on a current pop culture villain.
Either way, these costumes can sometimes be so good that the public struggle to recongise the well-known stars that are wearing them.
