Australia’s 20 most-followed Instagram stars have been revealed – with actors and musicians dominating the top spots.
Proving that talent reigns supreme, the list compiled by The Daily Telegraph features just two influencers in the mix, neither of whom managed to crack the top five.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, actor Chris Hemsworth sits at the top of the list with a whopping 50.7 million followers on the platform.

One of Australia’s few bona fide Hollywood stars, the Byron Bay-based heart-throb, 38, began his career on Home and Away in the early 2000s.
He went on to find international fame playing Thor in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.
Coming in second place is actor Hugh Jackman, 52, who boasts 30.1 million followers on Instagram.

The 25-year-old rarely uses Instagram, only occasionally sharing posts promoting charities – and the occasional selfie.

The star, whose full name Ruby Rose Langenheim, found fame as a model and MTV Australia presenter before turning to acting.
Her big break came in 2013 when she joined the cast of Orange Is the New Black. She has since appeared in several action movies, including John Wick: Chapter 2.

Kicking off the second half of the list is Rebel Wilson, who scored the eleventh spot with 10.1 million followers.
The actress, 41, is best known for her roles in comedy film Bridesmaids and the Pitch Perfect movie franchise.
Since 2020, Rebel has also used Instagram to document her weight loss journey, having reportedly shed around 30kg so far.
Coming in twelfth is pop band Five Seconds of Summer’s official Instagram page, which boasts 9.1 million followers.
Formed in 2011, the four-piece group began their careers as YouTube celebrities, before rising to international fame while touring with UK boy band One Direction in 2013.
Despite being one of Australia’s most successful actresses, Nicole Kidman only placed thirteenth with a comparatively low follower count of 7.8 million.
The 54-year-old was the first Australian actress ever to win an Academy Award for Best Actress, scooping the gong in 2002 for her role in The Hours.
Coming in fourteenth place is The Vampire Diaries star Phoebe Tonkin, 32, with 7.8 million followers.
While 5 Seconds of Summer made an appearance on the list as a band, three of its members were also separately listed.
