From The Voice to Summer Bay? Reality TV star Matt Evans sparks rumours he’s joined Home and Away
He’s best known for belting out tunes on season nine of The Voice Australia.
But it appears we may be seeing more of Perth singer Matt Evans.
According to New Idea, comments on fan sites have suggested he’s the latest face to join Channel Seven’s iconic soap, Home and Away.

Although the role he will be playing is yet to be confirmed, the publication reveals the the 25-year-old ‘is rumoured to be another member of the Newman family.’
Thus far, that family is made up of police officer Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) and Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis).
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Seven and Matt for comment.
Adding to the speculation, a quick glance over Matt’s Instagram following shows he’s following Home and Away stars Georgie Parker, Sophie Dillman, Patrick O’Connor and Sam Frost.

And while he’s clearly rubbing shoulders with current Home and Away stars of late, Matt also has a friendship with alumni from the show, Mark Furze.
The two respectfully met during their season of The Voice in 2020.
Mark previously played bad boy Ric Dalby on the show between 2004 to 2008.

Matt rose to fame on the reality singing competition as part of Team Delta, before he joining forces with Janie Gordon as a duo.
In a December interview with The Mud Mag, Matt opened up about following his creative dreams.
‘When I was young, I always felt that my path to success was going to be different. When I found the arts, I felt special. I knew this was a journey I wanted to take,’ he said at the time.
