Fury as cruel schoolboy hurls helpless cat off 30-foot waterfall

This is the sickening moment a savage schoolboy was caught on camera throwing a cat off the top of a 33-foot waterfall.

Animal lovers called for police to arrest the teenager after the clip – filmed in the city of Posadas in the north-eastern Argentine province of Misiones – was shared on social media.

The boy appeared to be trying to show off in front of a female friend who filmed the incident on a smartphone and who can be heard laughing in the background.

The footage shows the teenager, who appears to be wearing a school uniform, walk around a barrier surrounding a platform at the top of what has been reported to be an artificial waterfall while holding the struggling cat in his hands.

Standing on the edge of the precipice, he swings his arms out and lets go of the cat, sending it spinning into the air above the high drop as the girl laughs.

It is not clear what happened to the cat.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident but have not yet commented on their efforts to identify the culprit.

Angry commenter Alejandro Klein wrote: ‘Outrageous, shameful, inhuman!’. 

Maria Amespil added: ‘Bull**** guy… you must be a huge s*** of a person… disgusting.’

Another, Maria del Carmen Cetica, agreed: ‘I cannot believe such evil people exist.

Why don’t you throw yourself off the waterfall so that you know how it feels, son of a b****.’ 

Eduardo H Rodriguez also commented: ‘Of course the author of this bull**** should be jailed. Publish his name.’
