Gabrielle Union sports fake baby bump to shoot scenes for Cheaper By The Dozen remake in Los Angeles

Gabrielle Union may look like she’s expecting, but in fact, she’s just playing a pregnant woman in her latest film.

The 48-year-old actress sported a fake baby bump on the set of the Cheaper By The Dozen remake in Los Angeles on Thursday. 

She wore a large maternity dress on top of the massive tummy padding while shooting scenes for the upcoming Disney+ movie.

The colorfully printed garment was cinched at her phony bulging waist and kept her covered down to her ankles.

She had her hair pulled back into two long braided pigtails and wore diamond studded earrings as accessories.

In between takes, Gabrielle sported a black Evolvetogether face covering as part of the Covid-19 safety measures being implemented on all film sets.

To stay warm amid the chilly spring weather, a couple of shielded crew members helped her to put on a puffy black coat and purple Ugg boots.

The scene took place at a local park, where Gabrielle was seated in the grass with a co-star.

Her beautifully made up face smiled from ear-to-ear as she read a children’s book while receiving a foot massage for the shot.

While she doesn’t have quite as large a brood in real life, she and husband Dwyane Wade, 39, still manage a very full house.

The Hollywood power couple share six-year-old Xavier with Aja Metoyer, and two-year-old Kaavia, while the basketball player is also father to Zaya, 12, and Zaire, 18, with his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. 

The sports star recently said the duo – who wed in 2014 – both work hard, but still make time for their family.

He told People magazine: ‘We both work very hard for our families and we love that about each other. We love that we grind, we go for it, we work, but we still find time for our family and find time to spend time together and love each other.’

In Cheaper By The Dozen, Union and Braff will play a couple raising a huge multiracial blended family, navigating a hectic home life while managing their family business. 

The project is being written and produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris.

This marks the third film adaptation of the 1948 autobiographical book by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey. 

The original came out back in 1950, and a remake was made in 2003 with a Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt-fronted cast that also included young stars Piper Perabo, Tom Welling, Hilary Duff and Alyson Stoner.

The upcoming Cheaper By The Dozen is expected to drop on streaming platform Disney+ in 2022.
