Game on! Socceroo star Tim Cahill is selling his multi-million dollar Australian mansion

Australian Socceroos star Tim Cahill has put his sprawling, multi-million dollar home on the market.

The six-bedroom mansion – which features a swimming pool, spa and a floodlit tennis court with a pavilion – is located in Lower Plenty in Melbourne.

As reported by the Herald Sun on Wednesday, Tim, 38, and his interior designer wife Rebekah paid $2.775million for the 4182sqm property in October 2016.

The estate has views of the Dandenong Ranges and has access to a private bus to Kew and Hawthorn’s top private schools.

The Cahills recently renovated the home, adding a new wing and luxury home cinema, and are hoping to sell the property for $3.5-$3.85 million.

Rocco Montanaro, director of Morrison Kleeman real estate, said the sale had been sparked by Tim’s exit from the Melbourne City soccer club in December, 2017.

The Cahills have three children – Kyah, 15, Shae, 13, and Sienna, 11.

Closer to the soccer field, Tim was apparently furious that he was not selected to play in the Socceroos’ first game of the World Cup.

Australia’s most famous soccer player was left on the bench for the entirety of the 2-1 loss to France on Saturday.

Herald Sun football reporter David Davutovic has claimed he was ‘privately fuming’.

‘He didn’t play, he was warming up, and he is absolutely chomping at the bit,’ he told SEN radio on Monday.

‘I can tell you, he was privately fuming that he didn’t come on. Not for any other reason but he thinks he can come on and make an impact.

‘I think he will play in at least one of these games, potentially two. The issue is I guess there are four strikers in this squad and Bert van Marwijk only plays with one upfront.

‘He started with Andrew Nabbout and Tomi Juric did well coming off the bench.

‘I can’t overstate how highly motivated Tim is to join some of the games greats in scoring at four separate World Cups.’
