Gary Neville branded Chelsea ‘billion pound bottlejobs’ as the Blues were defeated by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Final.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side had a strong start at Wembley and were denied a goal by VAR but were repeatedly unable to capitalise on their chances.
The game went into extra-time goalless and looked destined to be headed for penalties before Virgil van Dijk netted at the the death to secure the trophy for his side.
Speaking following the goal Neville said on commentary:
‘It’s Klopp’s kids against the blue billion pound bottlejobs. For Chelsea I’ve got no sympathy whatsoever.’
