Gayle King rocks a glittering gold look while hitting the red carpet at the 2024 Grammy Awards

Gayle King helped celebrate the biggest night in music by hitting the red carpet at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The 69-year-old broadcaster hit the red carpet at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night, spotted posing with Victoria Monet.

The outing comes just days after King shared a special video of her longtime friend Oprah WInfrey reading to Gayle’s grandson Luca for her 70th birthday.

King stepped out in a shimmering gold pantsuit with a strapless onesie with flared pants legs.

She rocked a matching glittering gold trench coat over it that trailed behind her on the red carpet.

The 2024 Grammy Awards will be honoring music’s brightest stars in a celebration held at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on February 4.

Hosted by Trevor Noah, this year’s celebration will air live at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and its streaming service Paramount+.

This year SZA tops the nominations with a total of nine nods, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song Of The Year. Taylor Swift follows close behind with six nominations, and will also be competing against SZA in the three aforementioned categories.

The majority of Swift’s nominations were for her acclaimed album Midnights and its single Anti-Hero, which earned some of the best reviews of her career.

That track is up for Record of the Year, a category that honors the artists who recorded the song and its producers and engineers, as well as for the Song of the Year category, which honors songwriters. SZA’s track Kill Bill has also been nominated in both categories.

Swift has already made history in the Album of the Year category, currently tied for three previous wins with music legends Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder.

However, she is now poised to become the first-ever person to win the category four times if Midnights ends up victorious this year.

Last week, King helped celebrate her longtime friend Oprah Winfrey on her 70th birthday with a wholesome tribute involving Gayle’s grandson Luca.

King, 69, who first met Winfrey when they both worked at a Baltimore TV station in the late 1970s, shared a video of the Queen of All Media reading to Luca.

Oprah was reading the children’s book Little Blue Truck’s Christmas, which King said in the caption was taken during their Christmas vacation.

‘Happy to say at 70 @oprah is still a very good reader! While Favorite grandson Luca is too young to understand how special this moment was during Christmas vacation, it’s not lost on me,’ King began.

She added, ‘When asked how she wanted to spend her birthday, she said, “No gifts, no parties, no surprises!”
