‘I was bullied quite bad’: Gemma Collins reveals she had to move schools after she was punched in the face for being ‘too popular’
Gemma Collins has revealed she had to move schools as a child after becoming a target to cruel bullies.
The Diva Forever star, 39, spoke of how she was picked on by some of her classmates due to her flamboyant personality and for being ‘too popular’.
Gemma said in her BBC podcast, according to The Sun: ‘I never got bullied because of my weight, I actually wasn’t overweight at school.

‘I used to be bullied because I was quite popular and I was quite out there. Basically, I had to move schools in the end because I was bullied quite bad.
‘One girl even punched me in my face and stole my purse.’
Last year, Gemma reflected on being a ‘young, free and body confident girl’ away from the pressures of social media.

Sharing a slew of swimwear snaps from her teenage years, the TOWIE star wrote: ‘Spending the evening looking at old pics ….
‘I never grew up body conscious it wasn’t a thing when I was younger I was just young free and me.
‘Yeah I look good but in an innocent way. Instagram is way too exposed now for young members who are on here. They do have pressure and it’s just so nice to look back on this picture and not have had any of that pressure growing up.
‘I was just a happy teenager with no body hang ups or pressure…. I think it’s so important for our younger generation to be body confident and free.
‘Also the way people expose themselves now days on the gram is way too much nothing is held back anymore everything on show is way too much …. younger ones are watching x’.

Meanwhile, Gemma has recently lost three stone after using controversial £250 SkinnyJabs.
Since unveiling her slimmer figure, Gemma has said she is considering getting a breast reduction because her ‘body is getting smaller’.
While admitting it tends to be the ‘norm’ to opt for larger breasts when booking cosmetic procedures, Gemma insisted that she wants a her natural boobs reduced.
She told The Sun: ‘I never have wanted surgery. But as my body is getting smaller, I feel like I am falling over on top and I just want them gone.’
