Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck has been criticized by fans on social media for appearing to be smiling during the team’s shock loss to Ole Miss.
The No. 16 ranked Ole Miss upset No. 3 Georgia in Mississippi on Saturday, denting the Bulldogs’ national title hopes in the process.
Beck, who is dating social media star Hanna Cavinder, endured another difficult day on the field.
He was 20-of-31 passing for 185 yards but threw an interception and fumbled twice for the Bulldogs, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
But a picture of him sat on the sideline smiling with a teammate during the fourth quarter, with Ole Miss winning 22-10, has gone viral and angry Georgia fans were quick to slam their quarterback.

‘Get this overrated fool off my team,’ said one fan.
Another added: ‘Smiling knowing the NIL money has him covered.’
A third simply commented ‘he sucks’ while a fourth wrote ‘this is embarrassing’.
It is not the first time Beck has been criticized this season.
Hanna Cavinder, the famous twin and social-media influencer, clapped back at trolls last month who commented on the Beck’s looks.
The Georgia quarterback is constantly under the spotlight leading the offense of one of the best teams in the nation. And some social media users blasted him for his appearance.
Cavinder, who has a combined net worth of more than $1.7million with her twin sister and fellow influencer Haley Cavinder, has been romantically linked with Beck since Fourth of July.
Hanna slammed those who want to attack Beck for anything but his performances on the field.

‘I’m just gonna get this off my chest because this s*** just literally fires me up and annoys me so much about social media and society nowadays,’ Hanna said in a TikTok video.
‘I don’t understand why viewers or fans or whatever it is get satisfaction of commenting on a person or athletes’ looks on social media — or roasting them.
‘And thinking it’s just okay to comment about what they look like, come at them, tear them down like these people aren’t human beings.
‘It’s actually sickening nowadays how we turn a blind eye to someone’s comments about what a person looks like online. And it’s just sickening that people all get satisfaction of humiliating someone about their looks.’
The Cavinder twins have been popular on TikTok and Instagram since 2020, when their videos blew up at the height of the pandemic.
