Georgia Toffolo is engaged! Former Made In Chelsea star accepts marriage proposal from millionaire BrewDog founder James Watt – after admitting it would be her ‘ultimate’ birthday gift

Former Made In Chelsea star is expected to marry former BrewDog CEO and co-founder James Watt after he proposed over the weekend.

Watt, understood to be worth £262 million through the BrewDog brewery and pub chain, asked for her hand in marriage on Saturday during their current stay in the Greek islands.

A source told MailOnline: ‘He asked her to marry him yesterday in front of both of their families in Greece.

‘After the proposal they went to a big party at the Peligoni club and ended up dancing on tables to ABBA, celebrating with all the other guests.’

Toffolo, 30, who found fame as a regular cast-member on E4 show Made In Chelsea, has been dating the millionaire BrewDog co-founder since last summer and the pair now live together in London.

Watt, 42, stepped down as Brewdog’s CEO over the summer and has just raised more than £2.5 million of investment for his new venture, a brand-led social media platform called Social Tip.

It will be the second engagement for Toffolo, who was previously engaged to Nigel Farage’s former right-hand man – the millionaire aristocrat George Cottrell, dubbed Posh George.

He spent eight months in a US prison over a money-laundering scandal.

The pair broke it off, then briefly rekindled their spark in 2022 before going their separate ways for good.

Watt was previously married to Johanna Basford, a Scottish illustrator whose colouring book for adults, The Secret Garden, has sold more than ten million copies worldwide.

The couple, who share two children, divorced in 2020.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in September, Toffolo admitted an engagement ring would be the ultimate gift ahead of her milestone 30th birthday on October 23.

She said: ‘It would be the ultimate 30th birthday present. You never know, I can hope and pray and I was praying yesterday so hopefully it’s not too far off.’

Since confirming their relationship over the summer of 2023, Toffolo and Watt have enjoyed holidays in the Maldives in November and recently spent a long weekend in the Highlands with Watt’s children and Toffolo’s nieces.

They have also been to football matches, enjoyed dinners out, and even attended Nigel Farage’s 60th birthday party together.

‘It’s a lot of the reason I am more relaxed, with more perspective,’ Watt said recently of the relationship.

Watt recently stepped down from his role with BrewDog, 17 years after he co-founded the Scottish brewer and pub group.

He handed over the reins to chief operating officer James Arrow, but remains with the group as a non-executive director on the board and continue to advise the group on strategy.

The group said it had put in place succession plans after Watt first told the board last year he wanted to step away to focus on his other projects and interests.

In a Linkedin post, he said: “After 17 fantastic years as chief executive, I have decided to transition into a new role in the business, one of ‘captain and co-Founder’ – and James Arrow will pick up the reins as chief executive as our business pushes forward into our next phase of growth.

‘In my new role I will remain as a board member, a director and I will also be part time strategic adviser to the business and our to leadership team.’
