Geri Halliwell-Horner, 51, reveals she’s ‘tried to keep herself natural’ as she opens up about surgery and ‘celebrates age’

Geri Halliwell-Horner said that she’s ‘tried to keep herself as natural as possible’ as she opened up about surgery in a new interview.

The Spice Girl, who celebrated her 51st birthday earlier this month, explained how she thinks that it’s ‘important to celebrate age.’

While admitting that she might ‘do something different’ in the future, the singer added how she thought it was ‘honest and beautiful’ for a woman to look like herself.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Geri said: ‘I think it’s really important to celebrate our age. I’m happy I get to be this age. I’ve just tried to keep myself as natural as possible.

‘Each to their own and, who knows, in ten years I may do something different. But I think there’s something really honest and beautiful when a woman still looks like herself.’

Once known for her famous Union Jack mini dress during her time in Spice Girls, Geri has rarely been seen stepping out in colour since early 2019 and instead has adopted white as a uniform for everything from the red carpet to mucking out stables.

‘There’s a power in covering up. I didn’t realise that. I don’t need to overshare,’ she added of her wardrobe.

Elsewhere, she shut down rumours that the Spice Girls will reunite to perform at Glastonbury next year to mark their 30th anniversary.

Reports had claimed that all five original members would reunite in 2024 for a headline slot at Worthy Farm.

Ginger Spice has now denied that the Emma Bunton, 47, Mel Brown, 48, Mel Chisholm, 49, and Victoria Beckham, 49, are getting back together to headline the Pyramid Stage.

The band last took to the stage in 2019 for an incredible 13-date UK tour however, Posh Spice was absent.

Recently it was rumoured that Geri, Emma, Mel B and Mel C have provisionally agreed to tour dates in 2024, with previously absent Victoria ‘bringing ideas to the table’.

A source told The Sun: ‘Victoria will be 50 next year, and the girls turning 30 seems like two anniversaries too good to miss.’

The band formed in 1994, with debut single Wannabe reaching the top of the charts in 37 countries in 1996.

The band took a hiatus in 2000 when Victoria left the band and briefly reunited in 2007 for a worldwide tour with tickets for their London O2 gig selling out in two minutes.

Five years later all five members performed at the London Olympics closing ceremony.
