Talks between Chelsea and the Bundesliga have been dragging on for many weeks but Sky in Germany claim a package of €80m with €20m in add ons has now been accepted.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has been conducting the talks in her attempts to secure one of the most sought-after players on the planet and smash their transfer record. They previously splashed out £71m for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Earlier this summer Chelsea beat a number of top clubs to the signing of Werner from Leipzig, and their combined price will come to a whopping £142m – but it will be a small price to pay if they can help fire the club to the Premier League title.

Havertz is currently training with his German team-mates ahead of their games against Spain and Switzerland, but he is yet to have a Chelsea medical, the report claims.
This week Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz added fuel to speculation that the deal was close after saying Havertz was unlikely to play for the club again
‘Unfortunately our squad isn’t set yet. I don’t expect (Kevin) Volland and Havertz to train with us again.
Chelsea are having a busy summer and have announced four signings already – including Leicester City’s Ben Chillwell for £50million
‘It’s possible more players will transfer. We definitely still have to add some players.’
Havertz showed the European elite why he is so highly coveted by scoring 18 goals in the 2019-20 campaign, laying on eight assists for his team-mates.
His quality and consistency is evident as he followed up his 20 goals from the 2018-19 season. Real Madrid were believed to hold huge interest in bringing him to the Bernabeu, but Chelsea’s financial power has blown them out of the water.
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez warned Zinedine Zidane not to expect any Galactico signings this summer as the club feels the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

He started his career with Leverkusen and already has 150 appearances under his belt with 46 goals.
Chelsea have already announced five signings this summer in a real statement of intent from Frank Lampard’s side – who will be serious contenders for the title should the next deal go through.
In addition to Werner, they have also landed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax for £37m, while left-back Ben Chilwell has also joined from Leicester and Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr both arrived on a free transfers.
