Carlo Ancelotti was sacked as manager of Bayern Munich on Thursday following his side’s embarrassing defeat by Paris Saint-Germain.
But Bayern weren’t the only side to be dismissed in the latest rounds of matches in the group stages of the Champions League and Europa League.
Dani Alves, Edinson Cavani and Neymar all scored as PSG beat Bayern on Wednesday night but the misery for all six of the sides from the Bundesliga had already begun 24 hours earlier.

RB Leipzig also fell on the same night away in Turkey as they lost 2-0 to Besiktas.

Three remaining German sides had a chance to make up for the defeats of the four others on Thursday night in the Europa League.
It didn’t get any better, however, as Hoffenheim lost 2-1 away to Ludogorets, Cologne were beat at home to FK Crvena and Hertha Berlin went down 1-0 at Ostersunds of Sweden.
