Germany’s Julia Krajewski takes gold in individual eventing as Team GB’s Tom McEwen earns silver while Oliver Townend and Laura Collett miss out on medals
Great Britain’s Tom McEwen won the silver medal in the eventing individual competition at the Tokyo Olympics.
McEwen took silver in the individual competition on Toledo De Kerser after a faultless clear round.
German Julia Krajewski took gold, while Team GB’s Oliver Townend had two fences down to finish fifth.

Laura Collett, meanwhile, had eight faults when the final two fences in her round dropped, finishing ninth.
The day began on a high note as McEwen, Oliver Townend and Laura Collett won the team eventing gold, Britain’s first in the event since Munich 1972.
