Gigi Hadid reveals her stylishly decorated Manhattan apartment

She’s spent most of her pregnancy quarantining with her mother at her rural Pennsylvania farm.

But Gigi Hadid seemed to be back in New York City on Saturday as she revealed her newly decorated apartment.

The 25-year-old model divulged in her caption that she ‘spent all of last year designing’ the two-bedroom apartment in Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood.

Tasteful style: Gigi Hadid, 25, revealed Saturday that she’d put her impeccable taste to use by redecorating her Manhattan apartment, which she ‘spent all of last year designing’; shown in March

Gigi’s home was styled with a tasteful array of primary colors and earth tones to showcase her impeccable taste.

She began the virtual tour with a glimpse of her living room and her segmented Missoni sofa, which featured cushions in different colors and designs, along with a colorful Jean Paul Gaultier throw pillow.

The minimalist coffee table was constructed of sturdy dark wood, and a spacious patio could be glimpsed in the background.

‘Spent all of last year designing and curating my passion project / dream spot. Of course it all came together right before quarantining out of the city….’ she wrote, referencing her move out to the Pennsylvania countryside to stay with her mother Yolanda Hadid and her sister Bella.

‘But I’m excited for the time I’ll get to spend enjoying all the special corners that were made with a lil help from some of my favorite creatives (tap!) who embraced my ideas and didn’t call me crazy. ++ my mamma:) who is the greatest homemaking-sounding-board I could ask for (she called me crazy when required) ☺️ grateful to and for all.’

Another side of the living room was lit up by an asymmetrical hexagonal painting cell-like yellow and orange shapes that was painted by Gigi’s friend, the artist Austyn Weiner.

One corner of the room also featured intriguing uncovered shelves stocked with Williams-Sonoma supplies.

She livened up the room with display cabinets on her island that were filled with dyed decorative past in multiple colors, created by Linda Miller Nicholson.

The hallway leading to the powder room was lit up with a closely packed array of Edison lights and decorated with a giant yellow ballpoint pen and a red painting by artist Eamon Harrington.

The text-based design marked her apartment as a safe space for all people.

Her staircase was covered in gorgeous carpet, with a different pattern for each step, and the path culminated in a small brown bench and a blue painting from Weiner covered in abstract splotches.

A reverse shot showed another painting from the buzzy LA-based artist, and Gigi wrote, ‘there’s always an @austyn at the end of the tunnel.’

The apartment was perfectly arranged for the catwalk star’s needs with a dressing room where she could change and prepare her makeup.

Outside the door she had a rusty green Chevrolet pickup truck tailgate attached sideways on the wall.

Gigi’s bed was surrounded by a rescued wood headboard and matching nightstands featuring a lava lamp–like fixture by Sean Forest Roberts.

She capped off the display with a gorgeous view of her master bathroom, complete with marble countertops, dark wood drawers and an all-marble room for the bathtub and shower that was separated by glass doors.

Gigi wasn’t content with the views in her post, so she followed it up with more closeups in her Insta Stories.

The friend of Kendall Jenner highlighted the corner section of her couch, which was unmissable with his pastel hues, and a checker print throw pillow.

A close-up of the Jean Paul Gaultier throw pillow highlighted dragons and ocean waves in the style of a tattoo artist.

Though the sofa seemed straight out of the ’60s or ’70s, the wooden ceiling boards gave the space a modern yet rustic feel.

Her slender black-lacquered dining table stayed casual thanks to black benches with weathered leather cushions.

Elsewhere in her home, she had rough sanded wooden shelves and a black cabinet with chicken wire displays filled with rustic knickknacks.

It’s unclear if Gigi’s pride in her design handiwork signaled that she had returned to New York City, or if she was still living on her mother’s farm.

Earlier this month, she showed off her growing baby bump for the first time since she announced her pregnancy.

The model was unveiling her Gigi Journal Part II, in which she chose a variety of artists to showcase via submissions throughout the pandemic.

She explained the lack of pregnancy photos in her video clip.

‘A lot of people are confused by why I am not sharing more but I am pregnant through a pandemic, obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world, that’s in part why I didn’t feel a need to share, apart from with my family and friends,’ she explained.

‘Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus – that was in the beginning of quarantining and it’s still happening – and then me moved into obviously the re-emergence of the BLM movement and I thought our presence on social media should be used for that.’

She announced she was a ‘few months along’ into her pregnancy back in April, suggesting she is due this fall.

It’ll be the first child for both her and her boyfriend Zayn Malik, formerly of One Direction fame.

Though she hinted the on–off couple had reunited again late last year, it wasn’t until January that they were spotted together in public, and Gigi didn’t make it official on social media until February, when she posted a photo of the two cuddling.

Since then, Zayn has been pictured at Yolanda Hadid’s farm with his love.
