Gilles Marini is getting candid about his personal life.

The Sex and the City: The Movie star has revealed that his first sexual encounter took place when he was just 13-years-old in an orphanage – believed to be in France where he grew up – with a 17-year-old girl named Sonia.

In a frank interview with Page Six, Marini admitted that he was feeling the pressure the whole time, stating that ‘It was very romantic and scary.’

The 44-year-old actor also noted that the clandestine meeting was more than a bit complicated, as Sonia already had a boyfriend named Coco, who was around for the experience as well and was not happy to find out about it.

When he was asked if he was able to get everything done with a jilted boyfriend around, the actor congenially said ‘What do you mean? Of course! It was 14 seconds!’

The French native began his career working as a baker and a fireman before moving to the United States to begin a modeling career.

After appearing in small parts in various TV shows, the actor received his breakout role in the 2008 Sex and the City movie where he portrayed Dante, a lusted-after neighbor of Kim Cattrall’s character Samantha Jones.

The film was released to moderate critical reception but managed to gross $418 million at the box office.

After the success of the film, the actor was invited to participate in the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars, where he was placed in the runner-up position along with partner Cheryl Burke; he was invited back for the fifteenth season and placed sixth.

The actor later appeared in a recurring role in the ABC Family drama Switched at Birth where he portrayed Angelo Sorrento, the biological father of one of the main characters and legal father of another.

The show’s debut became ABC Family’s highest-rating to date and received an honorary Peabody award during its run.

Marini has since appeared in recurring roles in mainly network productions, appearing in shows such as Hot in Cleveland, 2 Broke Girls, and Devious Maids, among others.

The actor was also featured in a recurring role in the longstanding soap opera Days of Our Lives, appearing as lawyer Ted Laurent.
